Complete and Irreducible
How can anything that never began, ever have an ending? That's us! We never began! Therefore we will never end.
There's a fancy name for that. I'll give you it. Eternity!
Consciousness neither has a beginning or end. You and I don't have a beginning and end.
It's the mind that's created this idea of beginnings and ends and relationship of subjects and objects or others. That's the mind.
Have a feel of this. Feel the sensation. What do we mean by feeling and what do we mean by sensation?
And I'd like to ask, you have a look at this please, is it the body that feels, is it the body that sensates, is it the feeling and sensation that knows who or what knows?
Surely consciousness knows. If consciousness knows and it doesn't have a beginning or an end, that’s profound meaning appearing as you and I.
Consciousness.. it’s not a faculty, it is the light of ‘what is’ either seen from the perspective of the limits of taste, touch, sight, sound, feeling, sensation.. so the filters basically, or the filter of a self, a small self, that's always being reduced.
What does it mean, that small self that's always being reduced?
Well, when we believe we're the body-mind, when we believe that we're of space and time, when we believe we're of conditions, we've reduced what our essential nature is
to appearances that come and go, feelings that come and go,
knowledge that comes and goes. We've reduced ourselves to a small self.
The truth is, that that neither comes nor goes, that is already complete, is irreducible. Feel that! And what do I mean by feel that?
I’m saying, the feeling of that that is, is not of the body, not of the mind, not of space, not of time, irreducible.
You begin to understand quite swiftly actually, that any energy that speaks of itself as past or future as a good or bad feeling is a reductionism because you are already whole.
But then you've got to realise, in order to know that I am now whole you have to wear a dynamic instrument.
A dynamic instrument is never the same, each and every seeming moment, never the same. - B Prior
